Last night on the Afterlife Broadcasting Network [ABN] program NightTalk Edward R Murrow as many of you know asked General of the Skies Nuulo Isdrix what he felt the greatest threats to peace and security were on Terra today and in the coming decades.
"I feel the neglect that most Terran leaders have for the importance of clean drinking water is the greatest threat. While they go about their religious wars and bicker about petroleum products that will last for at least another ten generations, Terra faces a critical shortage of clean drinking water for more than 3 billion of her inhabitants."
Murrow was struck by this being considered a threat and being the journalism professional that he is he pressed on.
"General, you then do not see China's ascendancy as a global superpower in the next 100 years, the continued racial demographic tectonic shifts in the population of the United States or the ever looming presence of fundamentalist Islam as greater short or long term threats?"
[Laughs] "Mr. Murrow, I respect you learned opinions on all of these matters and there is likely no one outside of government save for Cavalor Epthith who has immersed himself, herself or Itself in the issues than you. I wish to be frank with your listeners here throughout the Empire. Today within the United States there is only one organization with the economic power, the moral will and the desire to destroy the United States of America and it is not al Qaeda by a long shot. That organization is the Roman Catholic Church in the hands of zealots within the ranks of bishop and cardinal and the late converts who seek to use its money and might for personal and political gain like Newt Gingrich. There is n o greater example of the apostasy and the threat it is to Democracy, writ large than the fact that an odious cancer like Deal W Hudson is a chief spokesman for Catholic Conservatism. I would present to you Mr. Murrow that the Deal W Hudson/Newt Gingrich brand of Catholicism is many times more deadly to the future success of America as a going enterprise and as a nation state than al Qaeda would be if they were possession of three suitcase nuclear weapons.
"Now many of you viewers will likely frown at this and have their sensibilities hurt but you asked me a direct query and I gave you a direct answer with no evasion. I did not mince my words and I was plain spoken. I did not say that all Catholics were a threat to the United States, but those with the willingness to foment violence, seek to break down civil liberties and change secular law to suit their religious purity are traitors to that Union because they owe a greater allegiance to Catholic Conservatism than they even owe to the Constitution of the United States of America. These people are what the Shai'tanists were to my office in the early days of the Empire. There will come a time when they will need to be asked whom they side with--Deal Hudson, Newt Gingrich and the Catholic Theocracy or Madison, Jefferson, Lincoln and King?"
